Men's Shed song written by our bard Bob Edwards at #EiShedFod
and sung to the tune of 'Galway Bay'
I came from the west to visit this Eishedfod,
Met Shed Quarters from Maesteg along the way.,
I met the High Street shedders up from Swansea
And I’d hoped to meet the guys from Colwyn Bay.
Robert Vi and Lovely Emma gave the invite,
But only if i didn't sing or play
They said I’d meet again the Squirrels Nest from Tondu
But didn't think I’d meet the boys from Colwyn Bay
There was the Den from Rhiwbina, just by Cardiff,
The Dusty Shed dropped in to join the fray.
Pembroke Dock shed put in an appearance
But I looked in vain for friends from Colwyn Bay
The Ferryside shed were there in all their glory
The cockle wars are now so far away.
The Doddy Fixers travelled from Mid Wales to join us
But I really missed the guys from Colwyn Bay
David Helmers flew in from Australia
No worries Mate, Fair Dinkum, and Good Day
John Evoy came here from the Emerald Island,
But I never saw my mates from Colwyn Bay.
