Let the memory of your loved ones shine brightly this year by
joining our Tree of Lights ceremony.
Rhos on Sea Rotary Club have teamed up once again with St David’s Hospice for this annual event. The Tree of Lights was established 19 years ago and is aimed at supporting those from within our communities who are living through bereavement.
Kathryn Morgan Jones, Hospice Corporate and Individual Giving Fundraiser said:
“We understand the joys that Christmas can bring, as well as the challenges that families face at this time of year, as we reflect and think of those who are no longer with us.
“For a small donation to St David’s Hospice, you are invited to dedicate a light on the Tree of Lights, to remember a loved one and support the work of the Hospice at the same time.
“Even if your loved ones’ were not cared for by the Hospice, you are still welcome to remember them in this way.”
For each light dedication, a Tree of Lights card is sent and your loved ones’ names are entered into a Book of Lights which is available to view at the Hospice throughout 2018.
The Tree of Lights Lighting up ceremony, which is kindly organised by the Rhos on Sea Rotary Club members, will take place on Sunday, 26th November 2017 at 4:30pm on the Cayley Promenade, Rhos on Sea.
The Men's Shed Llandrindod Wells, aka The Golden Boys - is open twice a week - Tues and Thurs mornings. I went along recently to find out more from the members about the activities that take place, and also to hear what inspired them to set up the Shed in the first place.
