Men’s Sheds Cymru (MSC) and Hafan Cymru are very pleased to announce that funding has been secured to extend MSC from 1st June 2022

We are very grateful for the ongoing support of The Waterloo Foundation, The Moondance Foundation and The Steve Morgan Foundation whose commitment to MSC means we can continue our important work.

Following the pandemic and successive lockdowns and problems created by the current cost of living crisis, the need for Men’s Sheds across Wales is now greater than ever. To meet this growing need Men’s Shed Cymru is looking forward to working with Shedders from across Wales to promote the Men’s Shed Movement and continue to provide vital support for individuals and groups to develop and sustain men’s sheds wherever they are needed and wanted.

Men’s Sheds Cymru has forged excellent relationships with Welsh Government and recently held positive talks with Ministers and Senedd Members about securing long term funding for the movement. In the meantime our Welsh Government sponsored wellbeing advocacy project continues, with a new member of staff expected to join us shortly.

Men’s Shed’s has seen unprecedented growth across Wales over the past 5 years. However, our priority this year will be looking how we secure the long-term future sustainability of MSC and your thoughts and input in to this discussion is essential. We will be holding a number of discussion events over the next 12mth and want to build on the success of our 2019 Men’s Shed gatherings in Rhyl and the Senedd by holding two more national Men’s Sheds events.

We want to thank you for your continued support and commitment and we look forward to working with you to continue growing Men’s Sheds and to create a stronger, more democratic and sustainable Men’s Sheds Cymru.
